The NHCC Mission committee supports hands on
mission activities that occur regularly throughout the year including the
Whole Foods Bread delivery to homeless shelters, volunteering at the Greater
Boston Food Bank, preparing and serving meals at Rosie's place, and
volunteering at Metrowest Hospitality Networks program for temporary shelter
and support services for the homeless. In addition, the mission
committee organizes special offerings and campaigns that are time
limited. This page provides information about current and upcoming

2012 LENTEN MISSION OFFERINGSOne Great Hour of Sharing Offering In March we will be collecting the One Great Hour of Sharing offering which is a special mission offering of the United Church of Christ (UCC) directed to international relief for individuals and communities around the world. The UCC works with international partners to provide support to health, education, refugee, agricultural, and emergency relief initiatives. Today projects are underway in more than 130 countries. This offering will be collected in the worship service on March 18th but you can donate over the next several weeks by check, indicating OGHS on the memo line of your check, by using the offering envelope in the pew (indicate OGHS on the envelope), or by donating online. Church World Service Baby Care Kits In addition to the financial offering, during Lent we will be assembling Church World Service Baby Care Kits, which are utilized internationally to help young mothers care for their newborn babies in situations of extreme poverty or following a natural disaster.
