The Star Pageant
and Carol Sing
On Sunday, December 12 NHCC held its annual
Christmas pageant, which tells an adapted story of the Nativity. After the
pageant, the congregation moved to the parlor for refreshments and song.

Shepherd and angel getting ready for the pageant. That's a corner of

messaging to coordinate their arrival?

The angel tells Mary, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor
with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give
him the name Jesus."

Mary might not have been too
sure how this was going to work out.
|
|
After Jesus' birth was announced to the shepherds, "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God..."

|
Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who
has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to
worship him." When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all
Jerusalem with him.

After the pageant, everyone moved to the parlor for
refreshments and Christmas carols. This year's food included healthy fruit
as well as the usual cider, cakes, and cookies.

Song sheets were distributed.
|
|
In addition to Yee-yeon at the
piano, music included drum and saxophone.
|
