As in the past several years, NHCC sponsored a community Easter egg hunt prior to worship. Here
is part of the crowd waiting for the event to begin.
This group seems to be enjoying the event.
This
lad seems not quite sure what to do.
The worship included, as usual, special music. This year we had two
trumpeters.
Participation is an important part of worship. Here singers of all
ages follow the hymnals.
The
children's message was a bit more "exciting" than usual. Despite
appearances here, no one was injured!
The lesson concerned the civil authorities' attempt to
"extinguish" Jesus. As we know, it didn't work, just as the
trick candles on the cupcakes cannot be blown out.
The sanctuary was decorated with paper cranes, symbolizing peace, made by
the children in the last few weeks.
Here's a closeup of one of the cranes.

Ken
preached.

NHCC Easter services always include Holy Communion. Here
Gretchen breaks the bread.
And here it is served to the congregation.
After worship, cake and other refreshments were served in the Great Hall.
