The angel tells Mary, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor
with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give
him the name Jesus."
"Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields,
keeping watch over their flock by night."
"Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy
which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of
David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God..."
...the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see
this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." So they
hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby.
Also
present, as the pageant has it, were angels and a variety of animals. (Can
you find a tiger?)
Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who
has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to
worship him." When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all
Jerusalem with him.
When [the Magi] had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a
dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and
escape to Egypt.
