Maundy (or Holy) Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus and His disciples.  For the last several years, NHCC has held a Christian seder. (We should need no reminder by now that Jesus was Jewish.)

The service starts with a meal, always welcome at NHCC.  Look for the elements of the seder on the table.

The Christian seder has many elements of a Jewish one, though ours is shorter.  Here children search for leavened bread.

The last event before Easter is the Tenebrae Worship (Service of Shadows) held on Good Friday.  This solemn event -- held in near darkness, so no pictures -- commemorates Jesus' death on the cross.Back to top
